Build

Build the test

Start from a URL, a Postman collection or the test plan you already have, and shape the traffic.

Test Creation

Four ways to start a test, from a URL to the test plan you already have.

  • Quick Start. Paste a URL, set the engine count, virtual users and total duration, and see the load shape before you run.
  • HTTP Builder. GET, POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests with headers and a JSON body, built in the browser.
  • Postman Collection Runner. Upload a collection with its environment file; Loadmance turns it into a test you can run.

Load Configuration

Shape the traffic: the profile, the engines, the regions and the network.

  • Six templates. Load, Linear, Peak, Stress and Endurance, or a Custom shape you draw from ramp-up, duration and ramp-down stages.
  • Engines and users. Engine count, virtual users per engine, total duration, iteration time and peak or stress count, within your plan.
  • Geolocation. Cloud regions around the world, or private engines in your own network. Set how many engines run in each.

Data Extractors & Datasets

Carry values from one run into the next.

  • Four extractor types. Body Regex, Header Regex, JSON Path and XPath, with the match number you need.
  • Discover variables. Find the variables in an uploaded test plan and turn them into extractors.
  • Input datasets. Start a run with no dataset, the latest one, or a specific one.

Live Results

Watch the test while it runs, then read every request.

  • Live refresh. Choose 3, 5 or 10 seconds and watch response times, throughput and errors move.
  • Apdex score. One number for how satisfied your users would be, with your own threshold and the satisfied, tolerating and frustrated counts.
  • Make your own dashboard. Pick the metric, method, aggregation and URL for each panel.

Private Engines & Dedicated IPs

Test systems that are not public, from IPs your firewall knows.

  • Private engines. Run engines inside your own network and see whether each one is online.
  • Private geolocation. Choose your own engines under Geolocation, the same way you choose cloud regions.
  • Dedicated IPs. Request fixed IPs for your firewall allow-list and switch them on for the runs that need them. Every paid plan.

Analyse

Read the result

Compare runs against a baseline and share reports the whole team can read.

Compare Runs

Know whether a change made things better or worse.

  • Up to 10 runs. Pick runs yourself, or use Last 5 runs, Last 10 runs, This week vs last week or a custom date range.
  • Baseline. Mark the run you trust; every other run is measured against it.
  • Chart, table and summary. Group charts by metric, by run or all in one; show only the differences in the table.

Schedules, notifications, teams and the controls security teams ask for.

Schedules & Notifications

Tests that run on time and tell the team when they are done.

  • Schedules. A start time, then repeat every N hours, days, weeks or months; stop after a set number of runs, or never.
  • Slack, Teams and webhooks. Send events to Slack, Microsoft Teams or a custom webhook with your own headers, and test it from the screen.
  • The events you choose. Test started, finished, failed or aborted, and test created, updated or deleted. All events, failures only or your own selection.
